Accidents and Insurance

Friday, February 29, 2008 | Suka3 | 0 reactions »

No one in their right mind would want to be involved in any road accident yet you see everyday people driving like madman everywhere. Car drivers driving like road bullies and motorcyclist riding without helmets with sometimes more than one pillion rider acting like they are stunt men from an action movie.

So is it any wonder that you hear people getting involved in road accidents daily and the number of death toll are also on the rise? Even with the different campaigns going on road users does not seem to realize that they are responsible for their lives and safety.

When it comes to accidents and Accident Claims, parties involved are most likely to settle without any involvement from the traffic police department. They much prefer to settle among themselves and avoid any fines or demerit points. As far as they are concern, damages get paid for and they are compensated fairly. Of course this is illegal but people prefer this process as it is faster and easier.

This is of course not possible when there is death involved. Then the traffic police will of course be involved as will the insurance company. Court cases will also come into play if it were drunk driving for example. Then the case gets a lot more complex with he said, she said kind of thing.

Whatever the situation is, accidents are accidents. That's why they call it such. But it should be something we avoid and not tempt.

First Time Incentive

Wednesday, February 27, 2008 | Suka3 | 0 reactions »

I don't know about where you come from but last I check here, first time homeowners are getting 100% Homeowner Loans for purchases of homes not costing more than RM100,000. I guess it is just the bank's way of helping clients to own their own homes.

I personally think it is a great idea. Owning your own dream house is everyone's desire. I know it's mine but sometimes raising the funds always gets in the way. The downpayment, the sales and purchase agreements fees as well the the lawyers fees can be a drain on anyone's finances and that is why a lot of people are staying away from house purchases and would rather rent.

That being said, always remember what experts say and that is to add 40% more to whatever you are paying for your rental home monthly to furnish your monthly mortgage repayment to cover insurance, maintenance expenses and even taxes. Lots of first time buyers who are too eager to own their homes forget to consider this and tend to go in debt with both the government and the banks and go under in the next two or three years because they can't afford to pay taxes and all the other miscellaneous expenses.

So, in conclusion, take advantage of the loans and get your own house but make the right choices to make sure you are able to keep your dream home.

How To Increase Your Earnings?

Tuesday, February 26, 2008 | Suka3 | 0 reactions »

What is the best way to increase your earnings? My answer would be get further training. In this rat race, it's always about people who has the right training for the right job and having paperwork to support your claim helps.

I attended a secretarial training school after my junior college. After an unsuccessful application to the university, I decided that I was going to get some training before I start on my career. I believe training would increase your confidence as well as give you the edge you need. However, make sure you attend courses that relate to what you want to do. So if I wanted to be a secretary then I would attend a secretarial course and if you wanted to be a plumber, then you would take up Plumbing Courses and not an Electrician one.

I really enjoyed my one year secretarial course as it gave me all the tools I would need to start on the career like typing, shorthand, business terms and secretarial practices. The lectures were fun and an eye opener as it gave me an insight in the secretarial world. I never regretted taking that course although I could have skipped it and just go to job-hunting.

So make sure you equipped yourself with the right skill and courses to optimize your potential and earnings. Good luck!

That's One Way to Spend Money

Saturday, February 23, 2008 | Suka3 | 0 reactions »

Let's see.. if I had £25,500, the equivalent of RM121,595,45, what would I do? I don't even know how long it will take to raise that much money in savings and if I have that kind of discipline in the first place. So if I have that kind of money, I would be sure to use it on something that I consider would be useful in my life. Something that would enhance my quality of life.

Some people actually consider cosmetic surgery as something that would enhance their life. That is why UK Breast Enlargement surgeries have increased over the years. Some ladies who have lived with small bosom all their life opt for enlargement in hopes of becoming more feminine and desirable . And who am I say anything?

You decide on the choices you make as you have to live with those choices and if you feel that blowing your life's savings is worth on any kind of cosmetic surgery, go for it and be happy!

There's a lot you can do with money and that's one way to spend it.

Understanding Mortgages

Thursday, February 21, 2008 | Suka3 | 0 reactions »

I was watching Oprah the other day and she had a guest (Suze something) come in and talk about women and finances. She covered topics like how to get out of debts, credit card debts and in particular, mortgages and how to save up for the future. Lots of interesting questions were posed by the audience. The topic on mortgages was especially useful as I think a lot of people are confused over which mortgages to choose from. There are those with fixed interest, they are those with adjustable interest and there is even terms like negative amortization.

Suze explained their differences and advise that the best kind of mortgages to get would be the fixed interest one and to never push back your repayments so much so that you reduce your monthly installment but that the loan term increase and in the long run you pay more interest.

Honestly, I am not a homeowner but listening to her makes me more wary of owning a home. What she said really kicked in that you might think that if you pay rental of say $800 monthly, you may very well purchase your own home and pay the same amount but what we neglect to remember is that, that amount would probably be 40% percent more when you think about the yearly property tax and the maintenance fee.

Something to think about eh??

Nuffnang Server Down For Emergency Maintenance

Wednesday, February 20, 2008 | Nuffnang | 0 reactions »

I received an email yesterday from Nuffnaggs letting members know of the crash of one of their hard disk's server. So don't panic if you do not see any ads these few days ok.... Here's the email from them...

Dear Nuffnangers,

At about 12.00PM today on the 19th of February 2008, the hard disk for one of our servers crashed resulting in server downtime and some loss of data.
The good news is that our team has taken necessary precautions for uncertainties like this and have backed up whatever data we had.
We are in the midst of restoring our servers and getting them up and running again so please bear with us for these few hours where our site will be down.

It's hard to place an exact timeline on when everything will be back to normal again but if everything goes as planned, everything should be up and running by 6.00PM today.

Until then, your blog will load just fine as normal but with all the Nuffnang ad units minimized or hidden.

You Got To Have Lamps!!

Wednesday, February 20, 2008 | Suka Suka Jer | 0 reactions »

One of the things missing from my home office are lamps. For some reason, when I set up the room, I thought I only needed one main light fixture and that is like way up there on the ceiling. So when darkness hits or even why it just raining, the room gets really dark and when I am working or reading, I really need to adjust my sitting so that my reading materials don't fall on any shadows.

This weekend I would probably get hubby to shop with me for some table lamps or desk lamps. I know what kind I want as I stumbled upon this site and gotten a look at some beautiful lamps to consider.

Come on love, I need lamps to write those post for my blogs...lolzz

The Fire!

Friday, February 15, 2008 | Ramblings and Rants | 0 reactions »

My blogging was interrupted by a loud knock on my door today. It seems the elevator on the 11th floor of my condo building had caught fire and my neighbour who got to know about it was informing everyone by knocking on our doors. Luckily for me, nothing happened and since my hubby was away, it would have been a real adventure to carry down the six kitties we have at home down the flights of stairs (I live on the 10th floor mind you)

Whew.. disaster averted!

Time for a Holiday!

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 | Suka Suka Jer | 0 reactions »

Last year was a fantastic year. I started blogging for fun, make friends and to my surprise, made money as well! It is the most awesome way to earn I tell you. I blogged from home in my jammies anytime I feel like it. No transport problem, no crowds and best of all, no boss! I blog when I want and where I want! Kewl!

Anyway, I guess I need to do something with all these cash. I bought me a laptop early next month. I blogged it at my other blog. And now I figured it would be nice to bring hubby for a short break especially after this big project that he's working on. So I'm doing some research now as to where to go and what kind of expenses will be incurred.

I chanced upon this website that offered great accommodation at economical prices. I've always fancied going to the romantic Spain, I let my fingers do the walking and I found some great deals at Costa Brava Hotels, Costa Del Sol Hotels, Benidorm Hotels, Alicante Hotels and Barcelona Las Ramblas Hotels.

So now all I have to do find some economical flights, put all these information together and present to it to hubby and see what he says. Wish me luck!
